AD5232: Nonvolatile, Dual, 256-Position Digital Potentiometer
Product Description
This device performs the same electronic adjustment function as a potentiometer or variable resistor while offering solid-state reliability and electronic packaging compactness. Available in 10K, 50K and 100K ohm end-to-end resistance options allows simplified adjustment in both rheostat and potentiometer divider mode applications. The AD5232's versatile programming allows multiple modes of operation and adjustment, which include direct program setting, EEMEM saving and retrieving, increment/decrement control, right/left shift for 6 dB changes, and wiper setting readback. Users can also daisy chain multiple packages which saves additional Micro controller pins. In addition, fourteen extra bytes of internal nonvolatile memory are available for storing user system constants which are accessible through the SPI compatible serial data interface. These devices are offered in the compact thin TSSOP 16-lead plastic packages.
